kong hei fatt choy! it's the 4th day of CNY today! goodbye year of rat, hello year of ox (bull, cow). i'm back to work. hahaha. nothing much to do at home. so, decided to go to work instead of taking days off. it's hot to stay in the house. and by "working", i will eat less tidbits! temptations! not much happening stuff to report. usual CNY celebration. oh, maybe the unusual activity was the last minute shopping on CNY eve. we have not done this before. first time! we went shopping for dad's new jeans. dad also "behaved" and tried on jeans after jeans. usually he will sulk when he follow us to shopping malls. this year is his 60th birthday. at first, mum wanted to buy him jeans at Tesco. he rejected & said that he wanted branded jeans! and we ended up at Levi's @ alamanda. so picky! his chinese birthday falls on 1st day of CNY. as for his "English" birthday, it's on 30th Jan. will treat him at Tony Roma's.

it's spring cleaning time to welcome chinese new year which falls on the 26th Jan this year. we will say goodbye to the year of the Rat, and hello to the year of Ox. tough year ahead, some said. i just wish for the best! it's the time of the year to put up the decoration! the red-er the better! anything red or yellow is good! #1 : cherry blossoms with cheongsam-clads sparkling juice! #2 : the living room and at the entrance, there are 2 red lanterns, which will only be displayed during CNY. we brought this back from our "kampung" in Putian, China, last 2 years. my cousin asked us to bring back a pair. the best part is, our surname is written on the lanterns! how cool is that? so if you are coming to my house this year, look out for the red lanterns! you wont miss my house! #3 : welcome to "huang" palace! counting down to CNY!!
