today is the the 3rd day of CNY. usually during CNY, i lost track what day it is, as in monday, tuesday, wednesday..etc. haha. i dont know why, but it happens every year!

this year, boss declared off on CNY eve. so we dont have to "fight" for leave. :)

we went out for reunion dinner again this year with Mr Tay & family. we started doing this last year, when mum couldnt really "work hard" last year due to her aching shoulder / back. so, Mrs Tay suggested to mum that we joined their family for a reunion dinner and also to celebrate dad's birthday which falls on the 1st day of CNY and Mrs Tay, on the 4th day of CNY....i think we will be doing this next year and many more years to come. hehehe.


the food was served very fast because the restaurant has to clear the 6pm reservations to make way for the 8pm crowd. we just ate and ate and ate. the restaurant was packed because it was the only restaurant in kajang that is open on CNY eve. reservation has to be make in advance. slowly, the eating-out-reunion dinner will become a norm.

the best part during the dinner was the angpow session given out by Mrs Tay. she took out 7 angpows. each has a different amount inside. we were to pick one & once everyone has 1 in hand, we were to open and check out the content. i got the 3rd biggest angpow that night. RM160! cool!!! the biggest was RM 200 and RM 50 was the smallest.

we went through the same process last year, just that we didnt open the angpow in front of Mr & Mrs Tay. we thought it was rude to check out the content. so when on the way home after the dinner, we quickly opened it and we were surprised to see that every angpow has different notes inside. we made a conclusion that the "richest" siblings should get the smallest angpow. hahaha. and i guess the same theory applies this year too! the richest still got the smallest angpow! hahahaha.

1st day of CNY was very routine. went to uncle's place late morning. later in the afternoon, mum's relatives would be at our place to celebrate dad's birthday which falls on the 1st day of CNY. so my house would be crowded every year. but as we grow older, cousins got married and moved on with their family, the crowd is getting smaller each year. but mahjong session is still a must.
2nd day was spent visiting mum's families. we were in bt.9 cheras, then to sg. besi, then went up to Klang. we have covered the relatives houses in 1 day. tummy filled with food, mahjong session at every pit-stop, it was fun! :)

and last night, me & buddies started our CNY mahjong session. started playing around 11.30pm and we played until this morning 7am. my eyes could barely open when it was around 5am. we kept laughing in order not to fall asleep. after a long night, or should i say morning, i won RM12. and breakfast of nasi-lemak was on me. hit the bed at 7.30am and when i opened my eyes, it was 1.30pm. everyone has their own plans nowadays, so i think that was the mahjong session i will have with my buddies this CNY.

coming weekend (16th & 17th Feb), my family & i will be going to Penang. so no more "free weekend" to mahjong lor. but nevertheless, we can still play during normal days, which we have been doing quite often. so, it's ok for us lah. :)

will be back to work on tuesday. so these few days eat sleep drink! hurray!

orientation day

today is orientation day. we met up with lance shuler and claire pristley from inspya yoga . lance is the principal and claire will assist him. the orientation was scheduled at 5pm today. we left house at 4pm, an hour earlier. but we were caught in the jam along sg besi highway. 1 minor accident on the way to kl, and another accident at the opposite side of the highway. and that has held us back for 20min. we reached there just in time. phew.... tomorrow is my first day of my ttc course. i am nervous. butterflies in the stomach. can i do it?? wish me luck...

how was your long weekend? mine.... ok ler. on haji eve, i left office around 8pm. due to the holiday on friday, we have to make sure all things were settled before the long weekend. normally, if it's already dark outside, i will not walk to klcc. instead, it would be monorail, star lrt, then ktm for home. and i'm usually in my own world when i'm inside the train. cucuk mp3, listening to my favourite playlist , and also dont want "stranger" to talk to me. but a stranger did talk to me on haji eve. i was standing beside this uncle. and i smelled something fishy. no, the smell was not from the uncle. he was a clean uncle. he was holding a plastic bag. i was guessing what's inside the bag. we acknowledged each other by nodding. then i continued to stare at the window, looking at my own reflection :) then i noticed he kept looking down at the plastic bag he was holding. i also looked down. i was like, " why ah? the bag dripping meh? i didnt feel anything on m...
