a memorable day, not in a good way...
this morning, house phone was ringing non-stop. it was 630am. i was in the toilet, doing big business. when no one picked up the phone, my guess was both mum and dad went out. and jane woke up and ran to pick up the phone. and she yelled, "mum accident! faster faster!!:
luckily i was done, and three of us drove down to the scene. it was just at the junction nearby our house. when we were driving downhill, we saw mum sitting by the roadside. as we were walking towards her, we saw her bleeding. OMG!! the blood was on her neck, and i thought from her ear as well. but luckily no. she just sat there, and said,"i'm in pain! i want to go hospital."
dad was not with her during the accident, as dad was supposed to go to putrajaya hospital for his physio. luckily he was just nearby, after dropping off sim at ktm station. he was already there, checking on the car. elaine and dad went to take a picture of the car that bang our car. while me was holding on mum as she was sitting on the edge of a drain. and luckily mum's friends were at the nearby church, practising taichi. they heard the loud bang, and they were curious and walked out to check. and they saw mum, and quickly came over to help.
somebody told us the ambulance was on the way. mum wanted to go to hospital fast. but we told her to wait, as we didnt know whether she fractured any bones. and she could not stand straight. so, we didnt want to take the risk, and asked her to wait. it was the longest wait for all of us. thought she was not bleeding, but seeing in pain really made us restless.
when we heard the siren, we were relieved. and we requested to be sent to serdang hospital instead of kajang hospital. it's just better in serdang. mum's friend and jane went with mum in the ambulance, while me went home to turn off the fire on the stove. mum still remember she was brewing some soup at home. and elaine & dad settled with the tow car agent that came like vultures!
mum also reminded me to call my aunty, that she would not be cooking for my cousin sister who just gave birthday and news spread. mum's eldest sister came all the way from sg buloh with my cousin sister and met us at the hospital. day off for all of us. what is more important now?
after x-ray, no fracture, no internal bleeding. as it was government hospital, mum was discharged. the doctor said she can rest at home. no need to stay overnight in the hospital. the thing with government hospital, unless it's super serious, or else, you may leave. we were just worried and wanted her to be "observed" in the hospital. but no choice, but to go home.
news slowly spread. relatives and friends started calling. even my dad's sister in law also came over, although dad told her no need. we guessed she must have forced my cousin brother to leave the shop and go home to fetch her over to our house.
and we went out to prepare all the documents to make police report. have to get it done within 24 hours, as mum was not admitted to hospital. no choice although she is now in pain, she has to go as she was the victim.
so, how did the accident happen? mum said she was at the junction, waiting to turn right. and she saw a car coming at a very fast speed towards her. no where to turn, and bang. and we heard people said the people in that car drank as they could smell alcohol. the bloody idiots still could pushed their car into a carpark. and they went off. didnt know where they went. by the time elaine was at their car, no one was there and the roadtax was removed. stolen car? mum's friends at the church saw the three guys pushed their car to the church carpark. they walked over to check, but was shoo-ed off by the guys.
whatever it is now, just hope mum will recover fast. just hope the pain will ease soon. just hope that everything will be fine now. it has not been a smooth year for her. please. my one and only wish for this year's birthday, mum, get well soon, & suay, please go away!!
