Aerial Yoga Aravind Yoga Studio

Last Saturday morning, my cousin sister who is usually very quiet in our chat group sent two photos. When I saw the photos, I smiled. 

This was taken in end of April. 

In conjuction with International Yoga Day in June, the editorial team of Malaysia Tatler wanted to feature yoga releated stories. One writer used to attend aerial classes at Aravind Yoga Studio and she wanted to feature aerial yoga. We sent her a few shots of our studio, but she wanted photos with students practising aerial yoga as it was too plain to feature an empty studio. As we did not have any, she offered to come over to our studio with a photographer to take a few shots. Of course ok lah! 

I did a few poses for them. Camel, Half Wheel, Candy Wrap and a few more. "Gaze forward, smile...can you put your palms in front, looking relax. Take your time to balance", said the photographer. It was not easy leh! But thank you for your patience, Mr Photographer!

My cousin was on holiday, when she was flipping the magazine and saw the feature. She told us she would "accidentally" brought home the magazine for me. I said, "No lah! Later when you check-out, the detector goes off beep beep beep!". She said, "Let's see how"..

I flipped so many issues of Malaysia Tatler during my LVMH years. While checking for advertisement positions, I would also be looking at the photos, admiring those Tai-Tai's, the rich & famous that were featured in the magazine. Never thought that I had a chance too. Although I was not wearing the sexiest gown, with full make-up and jewelleries, this bottom corner right hand page (Front Half Right and it's a prime position clients always fight for!) ... I was over the moon!

Knowing my ex-office would have monthly issue of this magazine, I texted June to get me a copy of this too! My theory, why buy when you can get it for free? (Cheapo!). "You know, they stopped sending already since Jan 2018! I have to call them to send me a copy of this", she told me when I went over to pick this up. (The account was shifted to another agency, hence no booking, no billing copies lor!)
