Full Moon today

Image
This post has nothing to do with full moon. Can't think of a better title, and since today is 4th Month of 15th day (Wesak day too!), so full moon it is lah. So, I have asked to be excused from my part time job in Bangsar South since mid-March. Since I didn't have to go to office, I have more time, either to be at home, or out playing. As of now, my Tuesdays have been filled up nicely by spending time at Sue Ann's house watching Netflix or doing random things with her. I did think about going home in between classes, but the drive back & forth.... I think I will make myself comfortable at studio, in case Sue Ann starts working or not free to layan me.   What have been I up to? Well, we went to karaoke on one Monday afternoon -- the happy hour promo ie RM 30, with free flow of drink and sing from 1pm to 7pm. We set a theme and went all out. We worked hard, we played even harder!!  Back to School theme And of course, I went to cut my hair and looked...

Day 102 of 365

Keeping track of days for year 2019 just for fun. Whenever I post something on IG, I will put an indication of Day xx of 365. Today is the 102/365. Why am I doing this? Don't know. Just for fun.  Days seems to pass by so quickly. Suddenly, it's the weekend, and then Tuesday is here! Ah, have to start thinking about poses & sequences as most of my classes fall on Tue-Thu.  I am happiest on Thu morning because I know I can rest in the evening (unless I have to do replacement classes lah). I still have one class on Friday evening, but it's ok. The thought of being able to sleep in on Friday morning is a luxury, although my body clock will wake me up at 7am, sometimes earlier!!  Day 102 of 365 -  Woke up at 7am after about 10 hours of sleep.  Breakfast of fish balls noodle + one piece of "chicken floss with salted egg yolk" biscuit + black coffee. I only have the time to enjoy the biscuit today after receiving it on Monday evening. Why? No time...

Mahal Kita

Randomly stumbled upon a singer singing an Indonesian song "Jangan" in Instagram. Started stalking and found out his name. Joseph Vincent. Oh, he is Filipino. And continued stalking him on Youtube and found another song that I like, "Float".  Both songs have been on repeat mode on Youtube. And I was reading the comments while listening to "Float" and noticed comments like "did i hear Mahal Kita?".... and out of curiosity, apa yang mahal?? I checked lah... Girlfriend name? Then I translated them using Google translate (of course). I Love You in Tagalog. Check him out.

All you need is Love & Coffee

Image
How deep is your love with coffee? Do you drink coffee daily? Is it a must-have to kick start your day? How many cups do you drink in a day? Or do you prefer tea instead?  I love both coffee & tea, whether black or white, or with spices ie, masala chai . There are days when I would have a cup of both, and the day will be complete.   Only recently I noticed my tolerance towards caffeine has gone so much lower that if I had a cup of coffee or teh tarik before 6pm, I could not sleep at night. OMG! Why like that wan? Then night time if people jio me yumcha, then I drink what ah?   Latte at  O'Coffee Club at 1 Mont Kiara.  Flat white at New Chapter By The Owl Note: posting this because I have not been updating, and also I felt sleepy! Had both my tea and coffee already, so need to find other ways to keep myself awake!

My handwriting

I wrote these 10 years ago. I used to commute to work via KTM train, hence I have a lot of "waiting time" at train station. The content of this book were mostly about my "pain" waiting for the train and summaries of how my day went by.  " Missed the train by seconds.... too many people...the day sucks... etc. "  The reason I write is because I like to read back what I have written months / years ago. Sometimes, will bring back sweet memories, but of course, there will be some "not so pleasant" memories. So, 10 years ago, when life was simpler, books were my companion when I commute. No FB, no Insta, no smartphone, no MRT!! And writing was only possible when I was sitting and waiting for the arrival of KTM train. Not sure whether I read this somewhere, or  maybe I actually wrote the above? Hahaha....  Reading this 10 years later, not bad eh...   Today, 10 years ago, it was about how the day went by, and what would be co...

Yoga in Winter, Spring, Summer & Autumn

Image
We start quiet and still in a seated posture at the beginning of our practise.  Just as Winter is poised for Spring .  The gradual warming of Spring will lead us to the full exuberance of Summer .  The power of Summer peaks, then moves toward the descending energy of Autumn .  Autumn folds inward, releasing back to Winter and its silence. ~~~~~~  Love love love! I forgot where I read this. Maybe from those old edition of Yoga Journal.  Putting them in my digital diary so that I can reread again.

Aerial Yoga Aravind Yoga Studio

Image
(Photo credit : Annis Ho)  Last Saturday morning, my cousin sister who is usually very quiet in our chat group sent two photos. When I saw the photos, I smiled.  This was taken in end of April.  In conjuction with International Yoga Day in June, the editorial team of Malaysia Tatler wanted to feature yoga releated stories. One writer used to attend aerial classes at Aravind Yoga Studio and she wanted to feature aerial yoga. We sent her a few shots of our studio, but she wanted photos with students practising aerial yoga as it was too plain to feature an empty studio. As we did not have any, she offered to come over to our studio with a photographer to take a few shots. Of course ok lah!  I did a few poses for them. Camel, Half Wheel, Candy Wrap and a few more. "Gaze forward, smile...can you put your palms in front, looking relax. Take your time to balance", said the photographer. It was not easy leh! But thank you for your patience, Mr Photographer...
