AXN Trade Event - Singapore
i was so happy when i was told that i would be going to singapore for the axn trade event. free stay in the newest hotel, Marina Bay Sands, and free trip to Universal Studios Singapore.
put work aside, we left kl on friday morning. astro chartered 3 buses to send us there. due to the rain along the highway, and the bad traffic in singapore, we only managed to check in at about 430pm.

didnt waste any time and we went out to meet up with linda for dinner at ion orchard. it was peak hour when we took the mrt, and oh boy, we had to push our way into the mrt. hahaha. and i thought singaporean would be more "in order" than us. it's the same lor! afterall, we are all human, rushing to go home after a long day in the office. plus, it was friday night! of course pack ler!

after dinner, we walked around orchard road. did some window shopping and went back to hotel. time to rest for a long day on saturday. we had a race to complete! didnt know what to expect, just be prepared for an exciting day ahead!

on saturday morning, after breakfast, we were divided into teams. this year, they allowed us to choose our own team, and we stayed together. chose a team name and decorated the team flag, we were ready to go!

we arrived at universal studios at about 12noon. and after we were briefed by the committee, we were all flagged off for Race Against Time. whichever team that finished the race fastest, would be the winner. we tried our very best to be as fast as possible as it was weekend and we had to queue like normal guest.

didnt take many photos during the race. we had to complete 6 stops during the race. first stop, we went into Light! Camera! Action to watch the special effect of hurricane.
second and third stops were 2 roller coaster rides that we had to complete. the first ride was scary! my first real roller coaster ride! and i screamed like mad woman. i had to stop screaming because i could not catch my breathe! hahahaha. after the ride, my whole body was numb! i was too tensed!! hahaha...
#6 : battlestar galatica HUMAN ride
we had a back to back roller coaster ride. the second ride was at ancient egypt. "revenge of mummy". again, i screamed on top of my lungs!! lunged forward, backward... OMG! and in darkness some more.
fourth stop was at the lost world, no rides. just completed some Q&A and proceeded to the last stop at madagascar. one member has to do jumping jack, pumping and skipping before we took the last ride of the race. a gentle river boat ride, a crate adventure. and it was good to cool us down after a hot race!
we completed the race in about 2 hours, still not good enough to win the first place. and only the 1st team will win the grand prize. sigh...we had another hour to wander around before we left USS for hotel. we had a merry go round ride. we watched a 4d shrek show. and we had a super quick late lunch at Mel's Drive In. we only felt hungry after the race. hahaha.
quickly went back to hotel, to freshen up for dinner. we did went to MBS infinity pool. i didnt take any pictures because my camera rosak on day 2. the display screen went WHITE! hai... so i used june's camera.
#7 : glam was the theme.
overall, we didnt win any grand prize, lucky draws. but we won free stay in MBS, we won free visit to USS. what else?
