working 1,3,5!

it's deepavali tomorrow! this week is awesome. why? because we have 2 public holidays in a week. but it would be even awesome-er if it's consecutive. hahaha... we will work on monday, (which is today lah..) then off tomorrow, then back to office on wednesday, then off again on thursday (awal muharram) and then back to office again on friday. this year, alternate days... according to next year (2013) calendar, it will be a stretch! because deepavali falls on sunday, and awal muharram on tuesday. how cool is that??? 5 days in a row. i'm sensitive, yes! sensitive towards holidays!

she has left...

it was her last day yesterday. do i feel relieve? a part of me yes. but i need to do her work!!! hahaha... next week it's going be a "high-class" week. meeting with fashion clients. wishing the week will pass by in a blink of eye! *wink* happy friday!

beijing & not moscow

Image
last year during Christmas party, we were first told by boss  that in 2012, we would be going to Moscow for company trip. seriously?? so we waited for almost 9 months, before the final destination was announced. beijing! it was beijing. an unexpected destination. but never mind! i've not been there, so totally fine with me. i'm not the one paying the bill, so Thank You boss for the retreat!! we were told to keep this retreat as low profile as possible. we left KL on Thursday (some in the morning, some in the evening). and came back on Monday. it was a replacement holiday on Monday, thanks to Hari Malaysia. we went to the hot spots in beijing. but we didnt eat at the best spot in beijing. food wise, must be halal lor... so, we didnt have much option, but to go muslim restaurant, serving chinese food, but halal. we thought it would be a cold trip, as the weather forecast reading was as low as 12 degrees, and as high as 25 degrees only. we packed some jackets along, in case ...

staff retreat

hmm, have not been updating for a while. will fly off to beijing later today. "staff retreat", boss asked us to tell client. and make this trip as low profile as possible. hahaha. so, more update when i'm back!

i like your class!

i helped a friend to teach yoga class recently, 2 tues, while she was away for holiday with her family. it was arranged in june. i was stressed when the date got nearer. would i be able to handle it? my sister told me just do it! the first class was a bit nerve-wrecking. the owner said that they love my friend because she teach different thing every week, and not just sun salutation. *gulp*. i planned to start the class with sun salutation wor!! first class ended smoothly, i think! second class, we laughed more compared to the first. since my friend said this group is a fun group, so i made some silly jokes during the poses. and when the class ended, it was a relieved for me. haha. there was an additional student in the class. he didnt come on the 1st class. young man, maybe around 20+. when he walked out, he said " i like your class! thank you! "... *grin* happy! then he added " oh, btw, what's your name? " ... hahahaha! will i be teaching again ther...

EL

the rain started when i was about to leave the house. and it continued to pour heavily. and caused a jam along the road heading to ktm station. when i reached the station, the rain has stopped. i saw a train just left the station. i continued to walk to the platform at the opposite side. and when i reached to the other side, there was an announcement over the PA system. "the next train to rawang has been delayed (what is new??). the next train will arrive in 45mins time". *jaw dropped* WTF? 45mins? that's almost an hour! are you KIDDING me?? and i stood there, thinking what should i do. 1) to continue waiting at the train station? or 2) to go home, eat breakfast, then drive to office? i decided to go home and eat breakfast and think about the next plan. as i was walking to the entrance of the station, another announcement was made. "due to train derailment in Nilai station, the next train will arrive at 8.10am." it was only 730am. informed my bosses ...

french birthday party

Image
last saturday, my sisters and i were invited to attend a surprise birthday party. we knew the birthday girl from our yoga TTC course. and we treated this party as a reunion. there were only 4 chinese in the house. the rest, French! hahaha. we didnt understand what they were talking about, but we enjoyed ourselves. the other guest were very friendly although we didnt really communicate with each other. happy to be there, enjoying the simple yet beautiful & yummy food!! and the cake was something new to us. it was called croquembouch , i dont know how to pronounce as i googled this. it was very sweet. and this is served on special occasion like birthdays, weddings, etc. traditional french dessert, we were told. drinking wine, enjoying the food bit by bit, from appetisers, to main course of paella, to traditional french dessert, ending with assorted fruit on satay stick & cake!! i want this kind of party for my birthday too! hahaha...

sun, sea, sand & MUD!

Image
after we went out to Mt KK, we chilled out at Pulau Tiga. this trip was my sisters dream destination in KK. so we went, a troop of 20. the remaining 4 didnt want to join us, as they have their own plan. the journey to Kuala Penyu jetty took 2 hours from KK town. we didnt sleep, as we were still talking "excitedly" about the climb. those who made it and those who didnt chatting away until we reached the jetty. it was a bright sunny day. perfect weather for island holiday! once arrived, we were greeted with a magnificient view of the jetty. crystal clear water, clear blue sky with cotton clouds. my ideal holiday by the beach.  when we arrived at the mud volcano, we didnt expect the size of a small pool. we thought it would be bigger! but once everybody dipped in, it was just nice. we didnt venture to the other side of the pool. we were covered with mud except for the eyes and mouth area. the mud was not hot. it was not cold either. we had a good ...

my trip up to the mountain

Image
it never cross my mind to climb the highest mountain in SEA, Mount Kinabalu. my sisters have been pestering me since last year to go for it. my reply, No Thank You! and last year when AA was having the cheap airticket sale, they just bought tickets for the family, minus the youngest as it clashed with her study.  and slowly, from a small group of 12, it grown to 24! double! "can i join you all?" "you still have place for me?"... and they didnt really shout out about this trip. and they closed it at 24. the max of place they could secured for Laban Rata. and after many months of waiting, the trip was executed!  did we train for this climb? of course we did. we walked up to Apek Hill almost every sundays, and added Luxury Hill into the list when it was nearer to the climbing date. i was concerned about my stamina as i am not an "active" person! my 63 years old dad walks faster than me uphill. so you know how i fare. hahaha.  off we went to KK on...

Qing Ming Day

Image
Qing Ming Day falls on 4th April this year. we visited grandpa & grandma's grave this morning. we were there before the break of dawn because we wanted to secure good parking space. and we spent 2 hours there, from darkness till bright daylight. we cleaned up, we beautified, we talked, we laughed. and we even had a mini picnic after the prayer. a fine morning, remembering grandpa & grandma. # hello sunshine #decorating the grave with colourful papers

fruitful Q1 2012

Image
had a fruitful Q1 2012. in no particular order. fruit 1 : samsung galaxy tab. story here . fruit 2 : 3x grandstand tickets to watch F1 at Sepang Circuit. although only for qualifying day, still to be there to experience it live was more than enough. we didnt expect the seats were so near to the track and even better, the podium! when we were walking in, the noise of the f1 cars were so ear deafening, we had to buy ear plugs! a pair cost RM5. pay lah!!! or else how to sit until the qualifying ended?? #the two yellow thing to block the noise we were well fed. lunch & tea break were provided to petronas guest. yes, our tickets were courtesy of petronas. we could choose 3 different type of lunch or tea break item. #my tea break, an hour after lunch! hahaha. #first timer at the circuit to show how near we were, we saw michael schumacher. he drives for Mercedes AMG this year. only earned a point on the race day. #schumacher checking out other cars. fruit 3 : backpack & luggage tag...

random writing

ha! i have been reading quite a lot lately. one book after another. girly to crime, mother & daughter... so, what's the next book? will randomly pick one from the 2 bags that i bought during the big bad wolf sale which i went twice. 21 mar was my TTC 1st anniversary. what have i accomplished? i think nothing much. i still remember the gayatri mantra, sung differently by lance & phil. didnt teach regularly, making me nervous whenever i have to take over elaine's class. once, there was a student who went home because she wanted yogarobic and not basic yoga. *gulp* my fault for not teaching according to timetable? yesterday morning, in conjunction with the anniversary, i wanted to do something different. i woke up at 4.30am. wanted to self practise. planned to complete 108 sun salutation. i failed. i think i was too arrogant. i thought i would be able to do it early in the morning. (what are you thinking queenofbee?? without proper warm up). when i reach 54, i thought i co...
