photos for the future!


the grand prize of RM 8,000 was very motivating! the cash would be handy for the 'banquet' months in november and december.

i had a day to think of what to submit. should i display all my mobile phones? from the 1st siemen to the current nokia? but i didnt have the photos of the old mobile phones.. what else to submit to show the past and the present?

once i reached home, i started digging my photo albums. and i prepared for 2 entries.

this contest was organised by Astro History Channel. media agencies were invited to join the contest and the result would be announced during their function at Carcosa Seri Negara on 4th november.

i didnt go for the presentation of Astro History Channel, although i was informed that i was one of the finalist. i asked," will i win something?"... reply," just go lah"... but no one in our office was going. no transport for me. hence i skipped the function. no one from astro gave me a call about me winning. meaning i didnt win anything lah.

on thursday, MK suddenly asked me,"what did you win?". i was like HUH? win what? then she said astro rep told her that i won something for the Astro History Channel. OH! i won? i really won?? i must gave the marketing a call to check! forgot about it until friday morning.

ex-colleague messaged me via msn. "you know you won a digital photo frame from astro, right? did they send it over to you? you better ask them to send it to you. it's worth RM 500!"... so kind of him to remind me. and call was made to check the delivery date.

it was delivered on 10th november.

oh, the "bridesmaid" (small box at the side) was a USB hub+photo frame with flashing logo image. i assumed it was a door gift. i could poke 4 pendrives at the same time. cool!!!

i'm still wondering which slide was shown on the day of the presentation.

into my 10th year

today is my working anniversary. completed 9 years. starting my 10th working years today (though i am not working in the office). how many more to go? hmm... i already told myself, once i cleared my study loan, i can resign already. hahaha.... but i need to save money la, so that i can have big plan! yoga studio?? hehehe.

mumbling

came in early this morning. it has been awhile since i took the 642am train. taking the earlier train means have to wake up earlier! usually i take the 657am train. but for the past 1 week, the 657am train has been cancelled. for no reason! we have to wait for the next train which was scheduled at 712am. due to the cancellation, it means JAM PACK in the next train because the 657am crowd will be merging with the 712am crowd. imagine, i could not moved my hands to scratch my face. it was that packed! so, i have no option but to take the earlier train. my working hours starts at 830am. but it's good also lah. early means less crowd in ktm and also monorail. and it's cooler when i'm walking from kl sentral to monorail station. and i can enjoy my breakfast in the office :) friends asked me before, "no plan to buy a car? you can stand (endure) taking train everyday?"... my answer, "everyday i ' stand ' in the train to go to work (no seat ma). i could not s...
