ttc-day 10

day ten was all about opening. earlier in the asana session, we had shoulder opening using chair as prop. wah, painful until cannot feel the arms and shoulders already. compared to other days, i sweat the least today during asana. of course, not taking into consideration of asana on day 2 where we did restorative poses. after breakfast, we had 2 hours of hip opening *grim*. my hip dont lie. very tight! all poses were a pain in the butt. butt, pelvic, adoi... after lunch, more hip opening! omg! some more did split. hanumasana. what!!!! and without warming up. i was the spectator most of the time. could not fold forward, so just sat there and watched. kakaka. tomorrow is arm and shoulder teaching methadology. i think i will be a spectator too. arms no strength la. cannot hold! 

ttc-day 9

it was my turn to do adjustment today. it went smoothly. we didnt have much chance to do adjustment because today's class was quite fast and some poses were too hard for us to adjust. claire mentioned that lance usually wont conduct a fast pace class for adjustment. painful for them, easy for us. hahaha. overall, today has been a leisure day for me. after asana, theory and theory. tomorrow is another day... and it's the 10th day already tomorrow! 

ttc-day 8

it's day 8 today. pranayama was not as comfy as yesterday. hahaha! i think i folded my left leg wrongly. numbness again. tomorrow will try to find THE spot again. asana was about legs, hip and abdominal. i cheated less. and luckily the abdominal part was refering to bakasana and headstand. phew!! happy that i was able to go up to headstand away from the wall. theory session was ok. and today, class ended early. yeah! tomorrow is my turn to adjust during asana class :)

ttc-day 7

i have found the right spot. the right spot for sitting during pranayama. very happy because i dont have the numb feeling on both my legs. and i didnt have to change legs. maintained for the full hour. yippie! and today, the colours were purple and yellow. awesomeness. it just came. and i was suprised to see two colours. kept asking myself, whether it was my imagination. dont think so because after i saw both colours twice. hehehe. asana today was more on adjustment. group a adjusted all of us plus a few outsiders. i am in group b, my turn is on wednesday. kind of worried, whether i will be able to do it properly or not. i cheated less today. haha. i usually cheat alot. i aim to cheat less and less during asana. afternoon session was about abdominal. doink.. my weakness too. legs shaking, stomach muscles shaking. omg! tomorrow asana will be based on what we learned this afternoon. so, doom la. tomorrow sure cheat lor. OM NA MA SHIVAYA... OM NA MA SHIVAYA 

ttc-day 5 & 6

yesterday forgot to update about day five. was too occupied to finish the office work. hai.. still cannot let go on office stuff. anyway, .... day five pranayama was so painful. sitting on block was extremely not comfortable. i was trying to find the best spot to sit so that i wont feel numb on my legs. the piercing pain below my buttock.. pain lorrrr. asana was tiring for me. chair pose... my least favourite pose.. can cry lor!!! day six, yes.. day six on saturday. finally, i found my best sitting spot. minimal numbness this morning. minimal. asana... hai.. hip opening. my weakness. hanumasana, or spilt... hahaha , i had two blocks under my buttock to support because i am still very 'tight' or stiff. now butt pain. oh, and we discussed about prayanama with caroline, one of the participant. twins had the chi moving around the spine. me? on day four, i when i closed my eyes, i saw a blue spot. ok. then i felt there was light around. as i was sitting with my back against the wind...

ttc-day 4

day four. pranayama session was still a torturing session for me. my legs were so numb. extremely numb. i am still looking for the best position to sit. sit on towel? tried. sit on bare floor? tried. straighten the back? i did. today, i sat on half of the block. numb gila!! one lady said to sit on the entire block. hmm.. will try tomorrow. had a good session of suryanamaskar this morning. and a good back bend stretch in the afternoon. i joined other people to do practical in the afternoon as claire said we should break away from each other. we did it today. and i am happy to find two friendly french ladies as partners. this group has odd number of participant. hence, one didnt have partner today. i think i will stay with them if they dont mind having me in the group. 20 more days to go.

ttc-day 3

day 3 is a relaxing day. why? because we had menstruation asana. our yoga practise sequence were all restorative poses. hugged on bolster, feet up on the wall, very relaxing for menstruating people. i just got to know that there is a term for mensturating. "funeral for the unborn baby". hence, woman will be pampered during this period. not advisable to practise on the first and second day. oh.. i think i didnt talk about my diet. i am cutting down on meat. no chicken no pork. only eat vege, fruit and fish during this entire course. just want to know what difference it will make on my body. if totally no meat, mum will kill us. hahaha. i noticed i am quite awake or fresh for the past few days. hm... i wonder if the diet has effect on this. tomorrow vinyasa flow for asana practise. hopefully i can cope...

ttc-day 2

day two... it was a tiring day. not sure whether i am exhausted from sunday training and followed by whole day monday. during asana this morning, claire showed us how to do proper chaturanga. i gave up after 2 attempts. my arms just couldnt take it. tired. just plain tired. and they even proceeded to handstand. enough for me. i just sat there and looked. no breathe.. hahaha. morning pranayama was ok. afternoon adjustment was ok too. too much information to digest. some things we seems to know already, but we did learn a lot of new things. every teachers have their own way in teaching. we just tried to follow and absorb as much as we can.

ttc-day 1

today is my first day of ttc course. i survived. started with pranayama for an hour and fifteen minutes. then, a pee break and continued with asana practise. as this is the first class, lance and claire needed to assess us. a simple practise, but was a very sweaty session. love it! we did not have appetite to eat during our breaks. just drank a lot of water. claire took over with theory after breakfast, and lance continued with adjustment after lunch. more to go...

orientation day

today is orientation day. we met up with lance shuler and claire pristley from inspya yoga . lance is the principal and claire will assist him. the orientation was scheduled at 5pm today. we left house at 4pm, an hour earlier. but we were caught in the jam along sg besi highway. 1 minor accident on the way to kl, and another accident at the opposite side of the highway. and that has held us back for 20min. we reached there just in time. phew.... tomorrow is my first day of my ttc course. i am nervous. butterflies in the stomach. can i do it?? wish me luck...

have been ignoring this space. #1 : my pink rose from 8tv 2 more weeks, i'm off. yoga teacher training course is starting on 21 march. i'm a bit nervous. i dont know whether i'll be able to follow the syllabus. 200 hours. our timetable starts at 6am and end 5.30pm. some days start at 5.30am and ends earlier. monday to saturday. sunday is off day. phew... at least a rest day. nervous nervous...
