Image
i love holiday! who doesn't love holiday? and the best holiday is when we have a few days in a row! totally unexpected free holidays! when i reached the office this morning, my colleague told me tomorrow is a public holiday. "for what reason?" in today's headline, the malaysian team won the aff suzuki cup . the best one liner to close 2010! happy holiday yo!!

my alarm clock

my alarm clock is a radio alarm. i can choose, either to use buzzer or radio to wake me up. i always choose the radio, because it's a radio alarm lah! hahaha.. sorry, stupid statement. happened a few times before, whereby i either forgot to set the alarm, or i forgot to adjust the alarm time. sometimes, i woke up automatically (body alarm), and saw the dark blue sky. kantoi! or when mum opened my door, i knew for sure i overslept. the last round, i woke up at 6.40am . last friday, i woke up when i heard the kitchen's exhaust fan. mum's cooking. i checked the alarm, i forgot to ON it thursday night. damn. but i still managed to leave the house at the same time and caught my usual train. today, i woke up and looked at the alarm. 6.50am. *not again* i thought my eyes were pulling a prank on me. i opened the door to the living room and verified the actual timing. yes, i was late. and i went back inside the room to check the alarm. it was ON but was scheduled to RING at 8am. i r...

last night dinner was *high*. why? we were forced to down a "welcome drink" before allowed entry. ok lor...everyone had to choose 2 glasses. i chose "transparent" & orange. i have no idea what's inside. just bottoms up... and in we went to twenty.one. #1 : yum! of course, photo session with the personalised background. food was only served when all were there. we had ample of time shiok sendiri taking photos :) #2 : showing off my bling bling top... i love the effect of the top under the spotlight.. the reflection was so nice!! hahahaha.. #3 : the reflection.. #4 : with moonstruckmum during performance time, i forgot some of my moves. damn. but we had fun. and the competition was so tight last night! YET, we still managed to win the 3rd prize. NOT BAD for newbies like us. #5 : $$$$ all continued dancing under the disco lights... till next year! #6 : love the ceiling merry christmas!

2 left feet?

tomorrow is office christmas dinner. this year's theme is Bling Bling. how bling? i dont know. i have a dress from agnes. so, i dont need to invest! hahahaha! just that it's not drama enough to win the best dress. i thought i have 2 left feet . i think i dont lah. because i think i can dance. *perasan*. we were divided into groups, and we have to perform. sing ker, dance ker, drama ker, whatever the team wanted to do. my team decided to dance. a mixture of a few signature moves from different songs. hmm...we were so into it.. we even came back last saturday for practise :) we want to win! wish us luck! update at 8.30pm: we rehearsed another time. our moves are getting "tidier".. hopefully tomorrow will be all good for us!! kan cheong kan cheong!!

what if...

i didnt have my i.c. with me? yesterday, i took the bus to lrt station with soo mee. along the way, we saw a roadblock. and the bus was requested to stop by the road side. check bus? hmm.... then a policeman came on board. "tunjuk passport, tunjuk passport." he said. oh.. the roadblock was targeted at foreigners. then the policeman said again "ada i.c. tunjuk i.c. ada passport tunjuk passport." i looked at soo mee. then the policeman repeated the same sentence to all the passengers. we both flashed out our i.c. i was thinking, what if i didnt have my i.c. with me at that point of time? would i be sent to the police station? there were quite a number of foreigners were being asked to get down the bus for further "inspection" although they have shown their documents to the policeman. my first encounter being asked for i.c. during roadblock, on a bus. hahaha.

autograph, please!

Image
my last movie was "clash of the titan""... yeah, it was so long ago. so, when some one offered free tickets to watch ""lalio po po" at mid valley, i just took them & had a good laugh on a friday night. we were given a stack of bookmarks when we redeemed the tickets. cartoon version of 988 dj's. i told kin, since that the dj's would be at the movie screening, why not asked for autograph on the bookmark. i saw kk when we were about to enter the cinema. i didnt have my camera with me, so, no photos lah. only when i was in the hall that i realised that i should have asked kk to sign on the bookmark. wasted a good chance. while waiting for the show to start, both kk and luke came in. second chance!!! and, BELIEVE it OR NOT, i actually walked from row B down to the first row near the screen, stood at the side, and waited for both of them to finish their "speech". then i handed the bookmark to kk, and asked for autograph! i passed him a blue...

song of the day

i'm going crazy over this song by bruno mars - just the way you are ... Oh her eyes, her eyes Make the stars look like they're not shining Her hair, her hair Falls perfectly without her trying She's so beautiful And I tell her every day Yeah I know, I know When I compliment her She won’t believe me And its so, it’s so Sad to think she don't see what I see But every time she asks me do I look okay I say When I see your face There's not a thing that I would change Cause you're amazing Just the way you are And when you smile, The whole world stops and stares for awhile Cause girl you're amazing Just the way you are Her nails, her nails I could kiss them all day if she'd let me Her laugh, her laugh She hates but I think it’s so sexy She's so beautiful, And I tell her every day Oh you know, you know, you know I’d never ask you to change If perfect is what you're searching for Then just stay the same So don't even bother asking If you look okay ...

random posting

i think i have abandon my blog for quite sometime. gotta write more. it is already end of november. a few more weeks, goodbye 2010, hello 2011. not many weekends left. gotta use them wisely. christmas is aorund the corner too. jingle bells in shopping malls, awesome-nesss! make you want to shop more! but then, cannot spend too much! i have big plan for next year. what big plan? i have registered for a yoga teacher training course next year. a full 30 days course, starting in mid march until mid april. and we have to go vegetarian during this period. hmm..... something BIG to look forward in 2011.

no phone, no life?

this morning, dad was already in the car waiting for me, with the engine running. i quickly grabbed my bag and lunch box. i put on my shoes and hopped into the car. got my ticket, entered the platform and i put back the ticket into my bag. and then i realised my phone was not in the bag. *OH ... oh!* quickly walked out to the station, found a phone booth and made a call back home. luckily still can remember house number! muahahaha.... and waited for mum to deliver my phone. i had to say bye bye to the 6.57am train, the 6-coaches train. hai.... mum arrived shortly and i quickly walked to my platform, hoping that my train would wait for me because i didnt see any train passed by while i was waiting for mum. once i was at the platform, a train arrived. oh.. not 6 coaches wor. it was the intercity train. *YES* i didnt miss my train! hahahaha... i was tempted not to call back and ask mum for the phone. but then again, i would not be able to contact my colleague who would be waiting for me a...

drive, no need stay back...

but when i dont drive, i have to work late. so how? bring work back home to complete. but then, once home, feel lazy. how? do it tomorrow? but like not enough time to finish all. i have one and a half day to work. why? because i am going to jb and kluang for dreamchaser wedding. today was filled with meeting meeting meeting. tomorrow will be working working working. have to put up a "do not disturb" sign.

left lane, slow lane, but...

i hardly drive to work. last monday was my first drive to new office. i left house at 645am, the same time if i were to take the train. i had a choice of 2 routes. 1) saga highway-connaught-tmn desa-mid valley-bangsar, OR 2) sg besi highway-tmn desa-mid valley-bangsar. i chose option 2. and i arrived at the office at 740am. about an hour drive. the jam was bearable along sg besi and after tmn desa, turning off to mid valley. took the same route back home. i drove for the past few days because i was on standby for a new pitch. got conned. the brief didnt come. or maybe delayed. dont know lah. yesterday, i tried connaught highway after work. and the jam was unbearable. after the 0.50 toll, the jam started. and only ended when i reached saga highway. crazy! no accident, no night market. no whatsoever. but JAM! cilakak. this morning, it was raining. oh-oh. sure jam to the max. indeed. massive car park after sg besi toll. why? accident lor. i was being laughed at for driving at the slow lan...

tried tested

yesterday, i tried taking the U87 bus after work. wanted to see the last stop. and i ended up at pasar seni. along the way, i passed by kl sentral. so, if i want, i could stop there instead of lrt bangsar. just need to walk a bit. but can save money. morning time, i would prefer U87 bus. less crowd. can get seat. the time i spent waiting in the bus to be "sardine-packed" in lrt bangsar is almost the same as the time i spent walking from north to south court in MV. just that i need to wait a bit longer for the bus to arrive. no complain. as long as i have seat. so, tried tested. U87 in the morning and evening if possible. why i said possible? it's because anything can happen. so, just go with the flow. whatever comes, just hop on!

20102010

Today is 20 10 2010. No particular meaning. Just a nice number.

which route is the best?

Image
we have moved into the new office last sunday, 10-10-10. my mode of transport has to be adjusted slightly. i have to take the bus now. *gulp* first day of going to work in bangsar was like first day going to school. kan cheong! haha. my colleague and i had promised to meet at lrt bangsar and to explore the bus route together. found the bus. reached office before 8.30am. not so bad after all. day 1 route (back & fro office) : ktm kl sentral (RM2.80) > lrt (RM 1.00) > rapid bus-T634 (RM1.00) #my work station... day 2, i wanted to explore another route. but ktm service was delayed (yeah.. tell you something you dont know, kan?). ended up taking day 1 route to office. day 3 & 4, colleague gave me a ride to the office. day 5, managed to try another route. ktm midvalley (RM2.60) > rapid bus-U87 (RM1.00). and i reached office almost the same time as i took the bus. the differences were, i saved RM 1.20. and i got to burn some calories by walking from mid valley north court to...

kl to bangsar

Image
for the past 8 years, i have been traveling from kajang to jln sultan ismail for work. come monday, i will travel from kajang to bangsar for work. i have finished packing the stuff that i have accumulated for so many years. all boxed, sealed & waiting for movers to collect them! this is my workstation since i started working here. i changed workstation once. but i came back. i have a "wall" to stick whatever that i wanted to stick on it. photos, stickers, etc... my workstation, the most "colourful" work station in the office. * proud * when the moving date was confirmed, we started packing. throwing old files that we have kept for ages inside the cabinets. out of sight, for sure out of mind. so, all were pulled out. major clearance! i removed all the memories from the "wall". it's so dull now. i wonder whether i can decorate my place the way i have been doing. :) last night, all were cleared except for working files. desktop will be gone by friday ...

free ride

for the past 3 days, when i touched out from ktm kl sentral, i was a VERY HAPPY passenger. why? t&g displayed a very nice number. RM 0.00. i dont know when this started as i only noticed the zero on tuesday morning. i thought my vision was blurred due to early morning. the zero made me panic for awhile because i thought it would caused an error in the card. so, i tried with lrt. no problem accessing. the next morning, i touched out again. zero. hahahaha... the next next morning (which was yesterday lah), zero again. hahahaha..... this morning, RM 2.80. my happiness was cut short. happy friday!

ranting

just got the official news that my boss will be leaving the office. clients were just informed about her joining the team in august. and now she is leaving. adoi. sure will be teased when meeting up with them end of october. hai... how to explain?

mid autumn festival

today is the 15th day of 8th month. HAPPY MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL!

my new phone

writing this using my new phone. awesomeness! nokia e5.

people assume that...

1) when you are looking at wedding photos published by photographers, meaning you want to get married. *doink* ~~i'm looking at how the photographers captured the moment lah... 2) when you hardly drive, you are not good with directions, you wont know the way. *sigh* ~~ i'm observant, ok moe? selamat hari raya!

reading weekend!

i'm off this thursday! boss has declared free holiday in conjunction with hari raya on 10-11 sep (fri-sat). 4 days in a row. nice. my big plan will be to rest at home. and bury my nose in nelson mandela's biography. the book is too heavy to be carried along to read in the train. will try to finish reading it within this 4 days. can i make it? i have read 3 books (consecutively) about china, during Mao's era. started with falling leaves , then wild swan and then mao's last dancer . i like the last book the most. easy to read. not as heavy as wild swan.

last friday, last saturday & last sunday

Image
last friday was ricks birthday. he didnt expect we would be "touching" his table on his big day. last last friday's plan was a failure (no repeat.. recycling sucks). so, instead of messing up, it was cleaned up instead. and changed the wallpaper. added some deco just for the sake of "party feel"... #1 : the clean table his response, "you all ah.... tsk tsk tsk.. should have taken MC today". then, we tried to surprise him with a sing-song session. this has failed because he knew. next was lunch. we went to tony roma's as he is a meat-a-ta-rian. they gave the birthday boy a complimentary birthday lava. he was ambushed from the back by the waiters with a super loud happy birthday song. face immediately turned red! hahaha. wishing ricks, many more quarters to go!! last saturday, i was in malacca for a 2D1N trip. just to eat. re-eat what i have ate on new year this year. while waiting for a procession to pass by, we ended up by the riverside, overlook...

a note to moonstruckmum

Image
It started last year when your team started to plan surprises for Lee on her birthday. It was nicely executed. Tears in her eyes… aww… To have the same effect after the first surprise was kind of hard. Especially when the lucky one is you, CYW . You noticed we were missing last night during buka puasa dinner. This morning, “ what time you will come in today ”. Enough said. Balloons, checked. Big Mess, checked. Crown, checked. Ribbons, checked. We have checked whatever items that we think should be checked. Still, you managed to dodge all of us by coming in earlier than expected. And telling this to the receptionist, ‘ Don’t you call them !’ (thumbs up!), and walked into the office ,“ silently ”. “She is here already!” ~ we have failed ~ You still entertained our request to react the ‘surprise’ scene once again. Thank you so much for cooperating. Were you surprised? A little surprised? Happy birthday, CYW! Btw, you found your present? It’s a memorable day for committee. #1 : last ni...

a cup of love

Image
i had a craving for coffee yesterday morning. there was no hot water in the office. hence, that gave me more reason to go down to the lobby to get coffee. i wanted something hot. usually it will be latte. so, i ordered one. in my mind, i always wanted the foam on top of the latte to be in a heart shape. the way the barista poured the milk can create various patterns on the coffee. #1 : my dream cup of latte (the name was "fake" lah) and while i was waiting for my drink, i looked at the receipt. i didnt specify the size, so he gave me a large. then, something caught my attention. i saw my name on the receipt. i thought it was the barista's name. but could not be. mimi is a girl name wor. i was a bit "confused". some more early morning. could not think properly. and i was already happy when i saw there was a discount! 10% discount leh! #2 : personalized receipt with my name when the barista poured the milk into the cup, i was hoping he could create some pattern on...

tumbling down

"you have to learn how to fall. and you must learn how to fall gracefully ". i learn this from my yoga teacher. hahaha. today, i went for class. we had to do inversion pose, ie headstand, the pose that i fear most. i'm still learning how to stabilise myself without the backing of a wall. the flow was quite fast for me. i tried a few rounds, but failed to raise both my legs up steadily. i tried again. and manage to 'stand' on my head. happy! but it was not for long. i tumbled down. not from the front, but towards the back. BAAM! everything happened too fast. i was down, lying on back, looking at the ceiling, smiling. my first fall while on headstand. the others were still on their "head". i regained my composure and joined back the flow of the class. the teacher said i fell gracefully. did i? she said i rounded my back and this prevented from hurting my neck and back. i didnt realise all that. i knew i was tumbling down, and on the floor. hahahaha.... mor...

coincidence?

Image
soo-Mees found an icon today in yahoo messenger. she got a shock! why? see below. #1 : coincidence? she compared my profile picture and the icon. pink hat and white frame sun glasses sitting by the beach! how on earth i could look like that icon?? or maybe the other way round?? hahahaha.........LOL!!!!

belated celebration

Image
went out for a belated birthday dinner last sunday with my friends at khuntai restaurant, off jalan gasing. the food was so so only. friend bought me a jelly cake. i asked for mahjong shape. but she said it was too HUGE. 5 kg. hence she chose another shape, which was a lamb, the year i was born. the best part was when we were about to leave the restaurant. usually, the restaurant staff would just bring the cake out when we requested for it. they wont light the candle, whatsoever. we wanted to go to another cooler place to eat the cake. so we asked them to bring the cake out. we waited for quite some time. no sign of the cake although we have paid the bill. then all the lights in the restaurant were switch off. err... "what's happening?",we asked. the staff said,"moe-si moe-si, sang yat jeh.. (nothing nothing, it's just birthday)". then my friends started laughing. they saw the staff holding the cake, walking out from the restaurant, candle lit and singing ha...

Lang Tengah (8-10 Jul)

Image
the trip that we have been looking forward to, has come & gone. we left kl on wednesday night.. or, should i say thursday morning at 0030. from wangsa maju, we headed to merang jetty, terengganu. we didnt know how long the journey would be. only one driver throughout the journey. we offered to drive. but driver said,"it's ok. i'm fine". so we let him drove lah! my eyes were extremely heavy. i thought i could kept the driver company. 2 passengers accompanied him, while me & juns shut our eyes. 5 of us were in a car, while another 3 friends were to fly to KT. they have drove all the way from singapore. if to drive to merang, can die! we stopped to pee once, and to pump petrol once. no food stop. and when i was about to fall sleep, we have reached the jetty at 0630. my head was so heavy. at the jetty, there were so many "stalls" with the name of the resort. but we could not find RedangLang Resort . we stopped looking. we decided to eat breakfast first. ...

early surprise

Image
just came back from dinner with colleagues. we had another round of steamboat. the 1st was during christmas eve, if i'm not mistaken :) supposed to celebrate post farewell for aud, then convocation for the 2 gentlemen. but they added another reason, birthday (without me knowing). this dinner was arranged on wednesday. as i was asking ricks how to go to his place, juns came over and asked ricks not to read a message from jo-ns. i was standing behind ricks and a message was blinking. eye contact between both of them. something fishy.....hmmm..... we waited for far neighbour and jacks to arrive for dinner. far neighbour arrived. then ricks received a call from jacks and he went out. then ricks came back into the house. told us jacks needed to park his car. then ricks switched off part of the living room light. eh... meh si ah? i saw eye contacts. fishy fishy! then jacks came in with a cake. adoiss.... pai seh pai seh. it was a green tea cake from RT Bakery. last year's birthday a...

immune jor

hai.... it's the ktm train again today. reached kl sentral at about 6+pm. as usual, there was a big crowd at the platform. expected. then, i heard the announcement. "technical problem at bank negara station. train to klang and seremban will be delayed". ok. expected too! i heard another annoucement, "train to sg buloh arriving soon". i quickly went to the opposite side of the platform to board the train to kl station. my usual practise whenever kl sentral is packed. once inside the train, felt glad that i didnt have to wait at kl sentral. waited for the train to close the door. the door was not closed. remained open for quite some time. why ah? close the door lah! waited and waited... about 10min later, i walked out of the train. i walked back to seremban platform because announcement said train to bangi arriving soon. the platform was so crowded. i didnt even walked down the stairs. i heard another announcement. "train to sentul arriving soon"". ...

holiday!

Image
i'll be going to lang tengah next wednesday!! i consider this my first holiday for 2010. have been waiting for this trip since.... i forgotten. march maybe? or is it april? anyway, it's here finally!!! we will be driving on wednesday night to terengganu. no bus, as some of my colleagues are concerned about the driving skill of the bus driver :) by driving on our own, we can stop whenever we want, wherever we want! but will take turn to drive because it's going to be a long long long drive there! #1 : sun, sea, sand.... TAN! TAN! TAN!

miscommunication

woke up early this morning for breakfast. had a slice of bread with butter & kaya. and a cup of black local coffee. light breakfast before yoga class at 1130am. and we reached the centre at 1115am. still early. no sign of the teacher. we waited inside the car. tick tock tick tock. it was already 1135am. still no sign of her. maybe she was caught in the jam due to road closure in kl for KL marathon? and we had the answer after a phone call. she was expecting a CONFIRM sms from us, which was not sent to her. so, she thought we were not free. aiyah! coming sunday also no class, because she is away in bali. woo hoo!! but i guess, when we go back for practise, we will be "tortured".

up & down thursday

this morning, everything was smooth. and i even received an early birthday present from a colleague! and my birthday is like.. 2 weeks away? hahaha! then by noon, things started to get bumpy. received a brief that has to be completed by end of the day. ok... then SL told me ktm service is "a bit" down in the afternoon (prompted by aunty J) err.... ok.. then later in the evening, SL called again and said monorail service was down. she has to walk all the way to lrt station. err... ok.. because i have not finished my work, i could not follow Tigger back to kajang. continued working until 7.30pm, SL called again. and this time, she was crying over the phone. "dont take the KTM today!!!" (my first thought was she got harassed! but no, it was not, it was even WORSE than that) "the train that i took just now was on fire. heard some explosion then saw fire" (i could not hear clearly because she was crying and talking at the same time.) "i dont know where i a...

almost missed

Image
i'm reading a book by adeline yen mah , "Falling Leaves", the memoir of an unwanted chinese daughter. borrowed this from a friend. i was reading it this morning in the LRT, and i almost missed my station. i was supposed to disembark at klcc. when the lrt stopped, i was looking for sign, "what station is this??".. then i saw a lot of people getting down, i just followed, and kept searching for signboards. and then i saw it. klcc. phew!.. or else, i had to stop at the next train, then take another train back to klcc... hassle hassle!!!

headstand

i have been practising yoga on and off for the past few years. i hate inversion the most. why? because i could not do it. haha! headstand... that was toughest to me. i tried. but failed. and i stopped trying. and i just stood there and watch other standing on their hand. *jealous* we started taking private class since last year. after more than 10 classes, i am happy that i'm able to stand on my head! muahaha! the teacher taught us the techniques. how to position our hands. how to position our head. leg. body. shoulder. tuck in the tail bone. shoulder roll to the back. soften your heart. these were the frequent phrases that were used during the class. our first few classes were a tortured. we came back with body aching all over. we still feel the pain after every class. i'm glad that my sisters forced me to join them. after headstand, my next aim will be handstand! namaste

duan wu jie

today is duan wu festival , or dragon boat festival. happy dumpling day!!! i had to take a break from eating dumpling. though it's my favourite, i think i overdosed already. hahaha.

my 3rd kiwanis hunt

Image
last weekend, we went to the 27th kiwanis treasure hunt. this year theme was "crouching tiger, hidden treasures". it was a 3D2N hunt, from KL to Lake Kenyir, Terengganu. my last hunt with kiwanis was in year 2002. after a long hiatus, i decided to join the hunt this year. and also to introduce the kiwanis hunt to my sisters, which were the driver & the navigator. peggy was back from a 4 years break. we were quite rusty after a long break. hahaha! friday night was spent cutting and sticking all the stickers on the car. they printed all stickers in a big banner, instead of pieces by pieces. painful task if done alone. hahaha. mum and younger sister helped to plan where to stick. #1 : team 19 ready to go! we left home at 520am, to pick friends before heading to kolej bandar utama, where we would be flagged off. as per scheduled, we were off at 7am. first sector was in TTDI. and then i forgot where we were. i didnt take note as i was too engrossed with the questions. i just s...

kids yoga

i took a day off yesterday because a kindergarten requested a yoga kids session for the students. we had the same session last year. there were about 40 kids, aged 5 to 6 years old. all of them were so adorable! kids love to jump. so, we jumped a lot. kids love to run, so we ran lot. i had to be on the toes when i was with the kids. poses could not be fixed because they might not want to follow what i had in mind. we arranged the kids to stand in a big circle. i stood in the centre of the circle so that all of them could see me. there was one pose, which i wanted the kids to stretch to the side. i stretched to my right, and slowly i turned my body around because i want to look at the other kids. seeing me turned, the kids followed exactly what i did. hahaha. and we turned together-gether when we strectched to the left side. so cute! cat & cow. aeroplane. tree. hot airballoon. run & freeze. jump like a frog. bow. and many many more! after the session, a kid commented, "i ...

waiting

i'm waiting for my sister to pick me up. i persuaded her to pick me because i heard today's KTM service was down in the afternoon. dare not to take the risk and then get stranded at kl sentral. ktm service has been down since monday. since the derailment , all schedules went kukoo! never ending story when comes to KTM. technical disruption, flood...... she is here!

weekend do what?

Question: this long weekend do what? (wesak day falls on friday!) Answer : i go ' orr si '. huh? ' orr si ' means pass motion in cantonese. hahaha. actually it's a detox programme. 3D2N. my yoga centre is the organizer & a friend will be the conducting the detox programme. friday (am-pm) : liquid diet every 2 hours saturday(am-pm) : liquid diet every 2 hours saturday (pm) : before bed, drink flaxseed oil . then lie down flat. sleep. dream sunday (am) : go 'orr si' & check if got stone in it. this is my first time wei!!! no solid food. will i survive? will i pass out STONE? hmmmmm....to find out on sunday morning!

wishful thinking

i am currently reading "becareful what you wish for". i wish i'm am heather, the girl in the book. she wished, and it came true. i love the wish "a seat in the tube" (lrt/train) the most. fit perfectly for my case. haha! yesterday, when i was on my way home, i made some wishes too. as i was walking down the stairs to the lrt platform, i saw a big crowd. i said to myself, "4 coaches lrt please". and the 4 coaches lrt came. *bingo* when i reached ktm platform, i saw an empty platform. so, i thought the train must have just left. but the train to bangi was scheduled to arrive in 3 minutes time. "i hope the bangi train is not cancelled and will arrive as per scheduled". i continued walking and i heard the announcement, "train to bangi will be arriving soon. please stand at the green line". *bingo* happy happy & i shall continue with more wishful thinking. no harm. right?

happy lovin' it breakfast!

Image
i was flipping The Sun yesterday morning. i stopped at pg 21 when i saw article about mcD . didn't really read through the article because my eyes were distracted by this 7cmx5col ad, with the word FREE . the article ended with "just cut the coupon to redeem your free sausage mcMuffin with egg." tunggu apa lagi, wei??? decided to redeem today. yesterday was a bit blue, so i wanted today to be a happy day. best to start the day with a happy lovin' it breakfast! i paid additional RM3.15 (great add-ons) for coffee & hash brown (my favourite of all time). #1 : The Sun 6 May 2010 #2 : happy lovin' it....

1,3 & 5

last saturday was labour day. happy because i don't have to wake up early for yoga class. meaning i can sleep until it's too hot to stay in bed. so, in order to clock-in more "sleeping hours", i went to bed early on friday night. 1am, i woke up to pee. 3am, i woke up to pee (again!). 5am, i woke up to pee (WHAT? AGAIN!!?) adoi... i thought i could have a "smooth" sleep. must be the honey that i drank before i went to bed. why i drank honey? because i had slight sore throat on friday night. must the kimchi set that i had during lunch. cis cis cis! and the "slight" has increased to "bad" when i woke up for 3am pee-break. i remembered i have 2 strepsils in my bag. so, i went to pee, went downstairs to take the sweets & went back to sleep with 1 strepsils in my mouth. i told myself, Don't Choke! hahaha. 5am pee-break, the strepsils was still in my mouth. haha. i didn't choke. but the sweet has left a bluish stain on my tongue. les...

Image
it was raining when i reached kl sentral this morning. sigh. rain means have to walk on the wet kaki lima to monorail station at brickfields. once in the monorail, i stood near the door. a sticker on top of the door was blocking my view. so, i bent my knees slightly just to look at the sky. and i saw this a huge huge huge rainbow! #1 : rainbow #2 : hello kl! and when i reached office, i quickly went inside a room which has the best view of kl tower. and the rainbow was still there! #3 : loving it i find myself always writing on friday. i guess because today is my favourite day. and there will be new label just for fridays!

a book a month?

Image
how many books do you read in a month? or in a year? i didn't count. so far, for first quarter of 2010, i have read 6 books! (the list in the right panel under "i'm reading..") i don't have any favourite authors. when i'm in a bookshop, the books that have nice covers will attract me. yes, i know, don't judge a book by its cover. wei, can't help it leh. last monday, when i was walking down from monorail station, i ter-saw MPH sign at crowne plaza hotel . i thought i was dreaming. still early morning mah. i was asking myself, since when this bookstore is there? hahahaha. and i started asking around. no one knew. those who take the monorail just said,"yeah, i saw that..but not sure when it was opened". i saw an MPH ad in newspaper this morning. and there was a note saying special discount for the new outlet at crowne plaza hotel. confirmed! so, i went to check out the place with my colleague during lunch hour. it's located at the hotel lob...

kau-cim

Image
i never kau-cim before. so, when i went to Thean Hou temple earlier this month with sisters & friends, i kau-ed my first cim. the traditional kau-cim tools look like the below. #1 : the traditional type when we were at the temple, we were looking for something like that. could not find any bamboo tube with lots of sticks in it. my sister was observant that day. she saw people holding sticks and dropped them into a big metal container like the below. so we went near to one big metal container and circled around it to have a closer look. memang sakai! didnt know there is another version to kau-cim. no need shake shake shake until a stick drop out from the tube. #2 : the modern one grab all the sticks, and drop them back inside the hole. look out for ONE protruding stick. that will be the ONE. if many stick out, repeat the process again. grab all, and drop. #3 : the protruding ONE #4 : take it out read the number on the stick and pull the right drawer to get your reading.
