my 3rd kiwanis hunt

Image
last weekend, we went to the 27th kiwanis treasure hunt. this year theme was "crouching tiger, hidden treasures". it was a 3D2N hunt, from KL to Lake Kenyir, Terengganu. my last hunt with kiwanis was in year 2002. after a long hiatus, i decided to join the hunt this year. and also to introduce the kiwanis hunt to my sisters, which were the driver & the navigator. peggy was back from a 4 years break. we were quite rusty after a long break. hahaha! friday night was spent cutting and sticking all the stickers on the car. they printed all stickers in a big banner, instead of pieces by pieces. painful task if done alone. hahaha. mum and younger sister helped to plan where to stick. #1 : team 19 ready to go! we left home at 520am, to pick friends before heading to kolej bandar utama, where we would be flagged off. as per scheduled, we were off at 7am. first sector was in TTDI. and then i forgot where we were. i didnt take note as i was too engrossed with the questions. i just s...

kiwanis 27th treasure hunt

i started treasure hunting in 2000. i was introduced to this game by my cousin brother. and i'm loving it ever since. there are many different hunts, organised by different people. timeoutsolutions, huntmaster, to name a few. Kiwanis's hunt is different from the rest. it's a 3D2N hunt. i first joined their hunt in year 2001. i was still a freshie. their questions were so tough! really really tough! but i enjoyed their hunt the most because i could rest on day 2. year 2001, we stayed at swiss garden damai laut . i woke up, had breakfast, then went back to sleep. then up for lunch, then back to sleep and then up for dinner. it was so relaxing! the second time i joined kiwanis hunt was in year 2003. it was memorable because of the jam. it was a long weekend. if not mistaken, it was wesak day. the drive up north was very stressful. we didn't have enough time to answer the questions, and the jam along the highway made things even worse! we were hungry. no food. energy bar ...

We participated in the Penang Food Hunt 2008 last weekend. 2 cars, 8 of us. Team 57 had Elaine, Jane, Regine & Kin, while Team 58 consisted of Burnie, Cing Yee, Sim & yours truly. The hunt flagged off in Penang, instead of KL. We drove up north on Saturday morning, early morning, in order to reach on time for the registration & briefing by 11am. Team 57 started the journey at 5.30am while Team 58 at 6am. We only made 1 pee-stop at Tapah R&R. Smooth journey all the way, except slightly jam along the Penang Bridge. We reached Paradise Sandy Bay at 10.30am, ½ hour to spare before the final briefing. There was a sea of RED in the ballroom. Theme for the hunt was RED . Everyone wore RED t-shirt. What a scene! #1 : Flag off The hunt was divided into a few sections, in order to disperse us. 90+ cars participated in this hunt. We flagged off at 12noon sharp. Leg 1, we were required to find 4 famous eatery place in Penang. Google map were attached for each location. Both teams...
